On Passover (April 15th) of 2014 there will be a total eclipse of a full moon. This is also known as a “blood moon”. Another will occur on Tabernacles (October 8) of 2014, again on Passover (April 4th) of 2015 and finally on Tabernacles (September 28th) of 2015. No other lunar eclipses will occur during this time which makes this event what is know as a “tetrad”.

If that wasn’t enough to get us looking up it looks as if the comet ISON will be doing an admirable job of that on its own. It will be making an appearance this fall and we may be getting a lot of light from it as well as noctilucent clouds and possibly a meteor shower.
Should be an exciting year.
